Syndesus CEO, Marc Pavlopoulos, featured in Globe and Mail article discussing Remote Work Options for Canadian Tech Workers

On August 27th, Globe and Mail contributor Jared Lindzon spoke with Syndesus Founder and CEO, Marc Pavlopoulos, to discuss the impact of ‘brain drain’ on tech talent in Canada.

‘…demand for Canadian remote talent has skyrocketed among American employers since the start of the pandemic. Over the past 18 months, more Canadians have been applying for remote positions with American firms.’

In Lindzon’s article,Look for a reverse ‘brain drain’ as more remote workers choose to stay home or return from the US‘, Lindzon points out that many of these Canadian workers experiencing ‘brain drain’ are part of a generation that is eager to continue working remotely.

That’s where Pavlopoulos’ company, Syndesus, comes in to help both American employers match with qualified Canadian talent and supporting Canadian tech workers who want to stay close to home.

Team - Employing Remote Workers in Canada | Syndesus

About Marc Pavlopoulos

I founded a company (Syndesus) that builds engineering teams in Canada for VC backed startups in the US, and offers Professional Employer Organization (PEO) services for US companies seeking to employ workers remotely in Canada. Additionally, Syndesus can assist foreign born tech workers (and their US employers) with options for working remotely in Canada if they cannot stay in the US due to immigration/work visa issues.

New venture (Path to Canada) helps foreign born technical workers who cannot stay in the US (for immigration reasons) get a job and work authorization to work in Canada.

I am the son of an immigrant. I have great respect for people who leave their home country and seek a better life in the US or Canada. I want to do everything I can to help them achieve their dreams. As an American who has moved to Canada twice (for grad school and for work), I understand the challenges involved in starting a new life in a new country.
